Manlius library is now a drop-off location for Becca’s Closet, a national non-profit that collects and distributes current-style gowns and formal dresses to high school girls in need.

Becca’s Closet also awards scholarships to deserving high school seniors who have demonstrated exemplary service to their communities.

The organization was created to honor the work of Rebecca Kirtman who passed away in an automobile accident in August 2003. In the spring of 2003, Becca single-handedly collected and distributed over 250 prom dresses to needy girls in South Florida so that they could attend their high school proms.

Manlius Library collects dresses and accessories appropriate for current teens and delivers them to the local chapter of Becca’s Closet in Liverpool, which holds three annual give-aways.  All donations are tax-deductible.

UPcoming GIveaways:

Saturdays, April 7th and May 5th from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Liverpool High School, 4338 Wetzel Road.
